Grape Day Festival and Parade
Escondido's Grape Day Park is home to — what else? — the California city's Grape Day Parade and Festival, organized by the Escondido Historical Society. The free entertainment includes a musical float parade, arts and crafts, food from around the world and a petting zoo. There are also interactive demonstrations of how to be a blacksmith or a farmer, tours of Heritage Walk Museum and a plethora of California grapes. This annual event is held on the first Saturday after Labor Day on Escondido's Grand Avenue. Free.
